Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. is back in AEW!
Making a shock return at AEW Forbidden Door, the former Women’s Champion received a thunderous ovation when her music rang through the UBS Arena, signifying the long-awaited return. Following on from Mercedes Mone defeating Stephanie Vaquer to retain the TBS Championship and win the NJPE Strong Women’s Championship, The CEO celebrated in the ring before being cut off by Baker’s music. The former Women’s Champion stood at the top of the ramp as pyro went off and Baker stared down Mone before making her way to the back, signifying an imminent confrontation soon. Tony Khan has also confirmed that Bkaer will be appearing live on the next episode of Dynamite on July 3rd.
With the next pay-per-view being All In at Wembley Stadium in London, there is a strong chance that Baker vs. Mone in a first-time-ever match could take place in August 2024. Baker has been side-lined for more than 10 months with what was believed to be a back injury, but this was never confirmed.
When Did Britt Baker Last Wrestle?
Last competing on the September 16th episode of AEW Collision, Baker unsuccessfully challenged Kris Statlander for the TBS Championship. Baker has previously held the Women’s Championship back in 2022, but never the TBS Championship.
