The Winter is Coming AEW Dynamite special aired live on December 10, with new champions crowned, a title match and more taking place on the show.
The main event of the show saw Samoa Joe put the World Championship on the line against Eddie Kingston in what was Joe’s first title defence since winning the championship from Adam Page back at Full Gear.
Additionally, the Timeless Love Bombs and the Babes of Wrath battled it out to determine the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions, and the Continental Classic tournament continued.
Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Bryan Danielson were on commentary for the show.
AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming Results December 10:
- Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron defeated Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa to become the first-ever AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions.
- Kazuchika Okada defeated Jack Perry in the Continental Classic Gold League. Don Callis tried to recruit Perry into the family after the match, but Perry refused. The Young Bucks made the save for Perry.
- Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir interrupted TNT Champion Mark Briscoe’s segment. Garcia will challenge Briscoe for the title on Collision.
- Adam Oage and Swerve Strickland defeated Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata.
- Mike Bailey defeated Kyle Fletcher in the Continental Classic Gold League.
- Samoa Joe defeated Eddie Kingston to retain the AEW World Championship.
