Line-Up Announced For AEW Dynamite

A celebration, the fallout from Double or Nothing and more took place on AEW Dynamite.

At Double or Nothing, Mercedes Mone left a lasting impression as she defeated Willow Nightingale in her debut match to become the new TBS Champion. Mone celebrated the victory on the show in the opening segment.

Also on the show, multiple matches were made official for the next pay-per-view, AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door including the next challenger for AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, who successfully defended the title against Christian Cage at AEW Double or Nothing. 

The Following results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:

  • New TBS Champion Mercedes Mone opened up the show. The CEO bragged about her victory before being interrupted by Skye Blue, who revealed that she attacked Mone back in April. Blue attacked Mone from behind.
  • Swerve Strickland defeated Killswitch
  • Chris Jericho presented TV Time. Bryan Keith was the guest and berated the crowd. Hook attempted to interrupt but Samoa Joe stopped him
  • Jon Moxley defeated Rocky Romero in an IWGP World Title Eliminator match
  • Don Callis offered Orange Cassidy a contract to join the Don Callis Family. Cassidy rejected the offer
  • Mercedes Mone defeated Skye Blue in her Dynamite debut. After the match, Mone was confronted by NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer
  • The Elite addressed Adam Copeland’s broken leg from the Double or Nothing cage dive at Double or Nothing. Initially trying to award the title to Jack Perry, Christopher Daniels interrupted and instead declared that a ladder match would take place at Forbidden Door and Perry would have to qualify for it
  • Will Ospreay won the Casino Gauntlet match to be crowned the new number one contender to the AEW World Championship. The match will take place at Forbidden Door.
