Ethan Page is officially a part of WWE.
The former AEW star made his presence felt in a big way on the May 28th episode of NXT as he attacked NXT Champion Trick Williams following Williams teaming with Je’Von Evans to be victorious over Gallus. After the match, Williams was asked by Lash Legend if he was the one who attacked Noam Dar and Oro Mensah earlier in the night. As Williams was about to respond, the lights went out in the arena. When they came back on, Page attacked Williams and established himself as a hell. Commentary called Page by his AEW name and nearly mentioned AEW before being cut off with Page confirming that he was the one who attacked Meta-Four.
Page was previously a part of AEW and competed for both All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor before choosing to let his contract expire in May and was removed from the roster page on May 2nd. Fightful Select has provided a follow-up and has confirmed that Page has signed with WWE which was only finalised in the past week. Page was not listed on rundowns ahead of time and was not seen backstage throughout the day.
Ethan Page Caps Off A Night Of Surpsises
Page’s debut was the final surprising moment in what was a very newsworthy episode of NXT. Along with Sexyy Red appearing live and unveiling a brand new NXT Championship, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace also made her return to the company and will compete at NXT Battleground.
