A high-stakes World Title match, a gauntlet match, and more are set for the July 8 edition of AEW Dynamite.
The show will be a Beach Break special edition, and has a loaded card to hype the event. The through line of the July 1 Dynamite saw Kenny Omega issue a challenge to World Champion MJF. The champion stated that Omega could have a title match next week, but under one condition. Much like Adam Page, Omega would never be able to challenge for the title again if he lost the match. Omega accepted the terms and will go one-on-one with MJF on the show. MJF is currently 2-0 over Omega in their previous encounters. Whoever wins the match will likely meet Will Ospreay inside Wembley Stadium in the main event of All In.
The other title match set for the show will see International Champion Konosuke Takeshita put his title on the line against former friend Kyle Fletcher. Additionally, a women’s Casino Gauntlet match will take place on the show. Whoever emerges the winner will go on to challenge Thekla for the Women’s Championship at Redemption on July 26.
July 8 AEW Dynamite: Beach Break Line-Up:
- MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega – Singles match for the AEW World Championship. If Omega loses, he can never challenge for the World Championship again
- Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher – Singles match for the International Championship
- Casino Gauntlet match – The winner will receive a Women’s Championship match at Redemption
- Tommaso Ciampa vs. Chris Jericho
