AEW will round out a memorable 2025 with the New Year’s Smash Dynamite special on December 31.
The final TV taping of the year has 2 title matches announced ahead of time. First, Mercedes Mone will put her TBS Championship against the woman she first won the title from more than a year ago, Willow Nightingale. Additionally, the first-ever AEW National Champion Ricochet will put his title on the line against Jack Perry in what will be Ricochet’s first defence of the title on TV.
AEW Worlds End had a newsworthy ending as MJF won the World Championship for a second time after being victorious in a triple threat match also involving former Champion Samoa Joe, Adam Page and Swerve Strickland. Looking to celebrate his victory and to address what is next for him in 2026, MJF will appear live on the show.
Also at Worlds End, Jon Moxley defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the 2025 Continental Classic. Moxley is expected to appear live to celebrate his victory in the round robin tournament.
