AEW Dynamite presented one of the biggest TV shows of the year, Beach Break, featuring a World Title steel cage match and more announced for the show.
Looking to put an end to Jon Moxley’s reign as World Champion, Samoa Joe faced Mox in a steel cage match in the main event. Additionally, Will Ospreay and Adam Page faced Josh Alexander and Konosuke Takeshita along with the return of Mina Shirakawa.
Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni and Taz were the announce team for the show.
The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:
- Adam Page and Will Opsreay defeated Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander.
- Ricochet defeated Zach Gowen. Ricochet attacked Gowen after the match but Mark Briscoe made the save.
- The Hurt Syndicate defeated Top Flight.
- MVP got 3 thumbs up from MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley to join The Hurt Syndicate. A contract signing will take place next week to make it official.
- Mina Shirakawa defeated Toni Storm, AZM and Skye Blue. As a result of the victory, Shirakawa will challenge Storm for the title at Double or Nothing.
- Nigel McGuinness apologised for getting involved in the match between Dax Harwood and Daniel Garcia. Garcia attempted to persuade McGuinness to keep fighting and Stokely offered the two the chance to face FTR. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler attacked McGuinness and Garcia until Menard made the save.
- Taz also delivered a tribute to Sabu, who passed away at the weekend.
- Jon Moxley defeated Samoa Joe in a steel cage match to retain the World Championship thanks to interference from Gabe Kidd. A wild brawl took place afterwards with The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada and Swerve Strickland all getting involved. Strickland made the challenge for Anarchy in the Arena for Double or Nothing.
