AEW Dynamite presented a Beach Break special on July 3rd.
Focusing on the fallout from Forbidden Door, the show saw a double title celebration take place as Mercedes Mone won the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship while also retaining the TBS Championship in the process. Additionally, the continuation of the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament occurred.
The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:
- Daniel Garcia was interviewed by Renee Paquette backstage about his match against International Champion Will Ospreay. MJF offered to be in Garcia’s corner
- Bryan Danielson defeated PAC to advance in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament
- Mark Briscoe announced himself for team AEW in the upcoming Blood & Guts match before being taken out by new TNT Champion Jack Perry. The Acclaimed ran off The Elite
- Willow Nightingale defeated Kris Statlander
- Britt Baker addressed her absence and revealed that she suffered a TIA and was hospitalised. Baker thanked the fans and remained in the ring as production set up for Mone’s double title celebration. The fans rejected Mone and it appears that Mone vs. Baker is set for All In
- Samoa Joe, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata defeated Cage of Agony
- The wildcard in the Owen Hart Men’s tournament was revealed to be Adam Page, who defeated Jeff Jarrett to advance
- Will Ospreay defeated Daniel Garcia to retain the International Championship. After the match, MJF turned heel and attacked Garcia before being chased off by Ospreay
