Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler made a shock return at the AEW Revolution, making a statement with the surprise appearance.
The AEW Tag Team Champions The Gunn Club would defend the titles at the pay-per-view in a 4 way match, with The Acclaimed, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal and the team of Orange Cassidy and Danahusen completing the line-up.
The Gunns would pin Danhausen to retain the championships, much to the displeasure of the live crowd in California. After the match, Austin and Colten Gunn would be interviewed by Renee Paquette, with the champions proclaiming themselves as the best team in the world. The gloating would be quickly cut off as the music of FTR hit.
The crowd erupted following the playing of the entrance theme, with the cheers getting louder as Dax and Cash made their way to the ring. The former tag team champions made their intentions clear, hitting a spike piledriver and the Big Rig onto The Gunns.
This is the first time that FTR have been seen on AEW TV in 2023. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were last seen in the ring at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 17, where FTR lost the IWGP Tag Team Championships to Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi.
