The return of Roman Reigns and a multiple championship matches have been scheduled to take place on the December 16th edition of WWE SmackDown. The show will be broadcast live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Following Ricochet being victorious in the SmackDown World Cup, the former Intercontinental Champion has a chance to hold the title for a second time. Ricochet will challenge Gunther for the IC Title on SmackDown.

The second championship to be defended on the show will be the Women’s Tag Team Titles. Current holders IYO SKY and Dakota Kai will be defending the championships against Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox on the show.

Following The Bloodline’s victory in the WarGames match at Survivor Series, Roman reigns will be appearing live in front of the WWE universe. The Head of the Table will outline what is next for the group on the show.

• Gunther (c) vs. Ricochet – Singles match for the Intercontinental Championship
• Dakota Kai and IYO SKY (c) vs. Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox – Tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
• The Viking Raiders vs. Hit Row vs. Legado Del Fantasma – Triple threat tag team match
