Former AEW World Champion confronted William Regal, demanding answers to the shocking events that took place at AEW Full Gear
Regal opened the November 23rd edition of AEW Dynamite in the ring, stating that while he was here, the new champion MJF was not. Instead, it was announced that MJF would be appearing live on the December 1st episode of AEW Dynamite. This would bring out an irate Moxley, who demanded answers from Regal. As Moxley entered the ring, Bryan Danielson ran in-between Regal and Moxley, pleading Moxley not to strike his former mentor. Danielson would defend Regal, but the crowd refused to believe it, wanting to see Regal get struck down.
Moxley would then confront Regal, only wanting one thing, for Regal to run far away and to never come back. Regal exited the ring, being sung out by the live crowd in Chicago.
At the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 19th, William Regal would come to ringside during the main event of the pay-per-view, which saw Jon Moxley defend the AEW World Championship against MJF. Regal would slide in brass knuckles to MJF, allowing MJF to strike Moxley and become the new AEW World Champion.
