MJF returned to All Elite Wrestling at the All Out pay-per-view, once again setting his sights on CM Punk by confronting the new AEW World Champion at the end of the broadcast.
During the Casino Ladder Match that took place earlier in the show, a group of masked wrestlers would attack the entrants of the ladder match. One of the masked men would then climb the ladder and retrieve the casino chip, revealing himself to be Stokely Hathaway. The remaining masked men also revealed themselves to be Hathaway’s clients.
The Rolling Stones Sympathy For The Devil would ring out in the arena as a man in a devil mask would make his way down to the ring, revealed to be the joker entrant. Stokely Hathaway would hand the joker pick the chip, ending the match then and there.
In the main event, CM Punk would go on to defeat Jon Moxley and become a two time AEW World Champion. Following the victory, static hit the screen and the video cut to a CM Punk promo from Ring of Honor, where Punk stated that the greatest thing that the devil ever did was convince people that he never existed. The mystery devil masked man then appeared onscreen, stating that he is the devil, before putting on the signature MJF scarf.
MJF’s music would ring out in Chicago to a rapturous applause, with MJF walking out to the entrance ramp as All Out went off the air.
MJF has not been seen on AEW TV since the June 1st episode of AEW Dynamite. It was on this episode that MJF cut the infamous pipe bomb promo, which ended with the AEW stating the words “Tony, look at me Tony, look at me β I want you to fire me. You f***ing mark, fire me! Fire me! Fire me!”
