CM Punk Crowned AEW World Champion At All Out

CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to become a two time AEW World Champion at AEW All Out.

Punk would defeat Mox in the main event of the AEW pay-per-view, which took place in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Punk received a hometown heroes’ welcome, while former champion Moxley also received a positive reaction from the AEW crowd.

Mind games would start the match off, with Moxley sitting cross legged while flipping off the challenger. Punk followed up with a GTS early in the match, but Jon Moxley would just kick out before the 3 count, rolling out to the ring shortly afterwards. The action would spill to the outside, with the hot Chicago crowd split 50/50 on who they were cheering for. Moxley drove punk into the ring post, which caused the best in the world to bleed.

A heavily bleeding Punk would make his way back into the ring, with Moxley taking advantage of the open wound. Mox would take control for a large portion of the match, placing Punk in multiple submission holds to get the victory, but CM Punk would refuse to give up.

The closing moments of the match would see Mox hit the Death Rider onto Punk, but Punk would kick out. Mox would hit a series of elbows and apply a bulldog choke, but Punk would counter into a GTS. A second GTS would see Punk pin Moxley to win the match and the title for a second time.

Punk would initially lose the AEW World Championship to Mox in shocking fashion on Dynamite, being pinned in approximately 3 minutes on the August 24th episode of AEW Dynamite. The victory makes CM Punk and Jon Moxley the only 2 time AEW World Champions in the company.
