The September 2nd edition of SmackDown will see the final build to the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event take place. The show was pre-taped on August 26th at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, due to the roster travelling to Cardiff for Clash at the Castle.

Roman Reigns will be appearing in front of the WWE Universe. The Tribal Chief will be celebrating holding the Universal Championship for over 2 years on the day before he is due to defend the title against Drew McIntyre.

Karrion Kross will be having his first ever match on SmackDown. Following the former NXT Champion’s embarrassing run on WWE Raw, which led to Kross being released, Kross shockingly returned on the August 5th SmackDown.
