The ratings for the August 9th edition of WWE NXT have been published. On average, 597,000 people watched the final build to the NXT Heatwave special. The numbers have been obtained via Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics:

NXT ranked #20 in P18-49 among cable originals for the day, according to Showbuzz Daily. Including broadcast primetime, it ranked #36.

NXT has seen a drop in viewers compared to the previous week. As the August 2nd episode of NXT drew an average audience of 649,000, the drop calculates to approximately 8%. NXT obtained a key demographic rating of 0.13, also down from the 0.15 rating from August 2nd.

As reported by ShowBuzz Daily, NXT ranked 20th overall for key demographic viewership on Tuesday night. Tucker Carlson Tonight was the highest ranked show on August 9th. NXT build towards the Heatwave special, with more matches added to the card.
