All Elite Wrestling have released a statement on the status of AEW star Jeff Hardy.
AEW president Tony Khan released a statement on social media regarding the recent events that took place with Hardy, which saw the tag team legend arrested on Monday June 13th. Khan has stated that contact was made with Jeff Hardy on the afternoon of June 14th. Khan would go on to say that AEW does not condone the alleged behaviour of the AEW talent, and that the company will assist Hardy in finding seeking treatment for substance abuse issues.
The initial statement ends by clarifying Jeff Hardy’s status with the company moving forward. Hardy will be suspended from AEW without pay. Jeff Hardy may only return to the company when successful completion of treatment of maintaining sobriety has taken place.
Jeff Hardy was originally scheduled to team with brother Matt to take part in a triple threat ladder match for the AEW Tag Team Championships, which are currently held by Jurassic Express, and was also due to feature The Young Bucks as the third team. At the time of writing, no replacement match or participants for the titles have been announced by AEW.
