The may 13th edition of Friday Night SmackDown will air live from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The show will be the first episode of the blue brand since the WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event.
The new SmackDown Women’s Champion has been advertised to appear. At WrestleMania Backlash, Ronda Rousey defeated Charlotte Flair in an “I Quit” match to capture the SmackDown title for the first time in her career. Rousey will be appearing at SmackDown and will presumably see who her next challenger will be.
A championship match will be taking place on the show. Following Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi facing off against Natalya and Shayna Baszler in varying combinations over recent weeks, Natalya and Baszler get a shot at the titles on SmackDown.
Promotional material also advertises what will be next for The Bloodline. Roman Reigns and The Usos defeated RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania Backlash. Expect The Tribal Chief to state what happens now on SmackDown.
