Johnny Knoxville has officially been entered into the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match. The Jackass star was announced on the January 7th SmackDown, following multiple interactions with Sami Zayn on the show.
Knoxville and Zayn first met in a backstage segment. The former Intercontinental Champion said that the actor did not have what it takes to enter the Royal Rumble. Also, Zayn that Knoxville was not qualified and has not qualified for the match.
Sami Zayn then went out for his match against Rick Boogs. Zayn would lose the match and was visibly annoyed with the result. Johnny Knoxville would sneak up behind Sami and proceeded to throw Zayn over the top rope. Shortly afterwards, it was announced to the arena that Knoxville is an official entrant into the Royal Rumble match.
The actor was recently seen on social media campaigning for entry into the iconic match. The official announcement now means that 7 entrants are officially part of the match. The names are as follows:

- Angelo Dawkins
- Montez Ford
- Austin Theory
- Sheamus
- Johnny Knoxville
