Bray Wyatt ‘s First Post-WWE Project Revealed

Bray Wyatt’s first project since his WWE departure has been revealed to be working on a Hollywood movie. The news has been confirmed by Hollywood special effects artist Jason Baker, who has previously worked with Wyatt in some WWE related projects. Speaking to Metro, Baker has said the following about the former WWE Champion and what is next for Bray:

‘He’s a phenomenal collaborator, he’s become a really good friend, and we’re actually – you’re the first person that we’re publicly telling about [this]. We’re starting a film at the end of the month.’

Both Baker and Wyatt were seen photographed together on social media. It had been speculated that the meeting was to create a new character for the former Fiend, and would set up a return to the ring. The film, which as of now is untitled, appears to be a mix of action, horror and fantasy. In a follow up quote, Jason stated that filming is due to start soon and has described the premise of the upcoming project:

‘Two weeks to go, we’re filming in Tennessee,’ he said. ‘It’s a feature film and it’s something really new and different. I’d say probably the best way to describe it is Ichi the Killer meets Xanadu.’

Bray Wyatt was surprisingly released by WWE in late July 2021. Aside from a few cryptic posts on social media, the former WWE superstar has been relatively silent and has not given any interviews since the shock departure. Wyatt is now going by his real name of Windham Rotunda on social media, and is a free agent. This means that Rotunda is able to appear on any wrestling show at any point, following the expiration of the 90 day no-compete clause.

The upcoming project will not be Windham Rotunda’s first time in the cinematic world. Throughout 2019 and 2020, the former Universal Champion frequently appeared in cinematic segments on WWE known as the Firefly Fun House, which were frequently praised by fellow wrestlers and critics.
