The October 22nd edition of Friday Night SmackDown will be broadcast live from the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. The show will see a new beginning for the blue brand and for WWE as a whole. Firstly, as this is the first show following Crown Jewel, the build to the next pay-per-view, Survivor Series, will begin. In advertising during Crown jewel, it appears that WWE will once again be going with the concept of champion vs. champion and brand warfare.

Secondly, this is the first show that the new rosters take effect. Picks from night 1 and night 2 of the WWE draft will officially find their new homes moving forward.

When @BrockLesnar was leaving Saudi Arabia, Brock was quoted saying, “The moment I arrive at SmackDown, I will beat Roman Reigns senseless.”

Currently, no matches or segments have been officially announced by WWE to take place on the show. However, WWE are promoting that the rivalry between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar is not over. Following the events of Crown Jewel, Lesnar has stated that he will beat the Universal Champion senseless when he returns to SmackDown. However, it is unsure when this will happen, as Lesnar is not advertised for this show.
