The first night of the two night WWE Draft took place on the October 1st edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

The draft picks were announced by WWE Officials Sonya Deville and Adam Pearce. Deville announced the first pick overall as Roman Reigns to SmackDown. It should be noted that in the past, Monday Night RAW has received the first pick due to the show being longer.

WWE have announced that the roster switches will not take place until the October 22nd SmackDown, which occurs the day after the upcoming WWE pay per view Crown Jewel.
