AEW Fight For The Fallen Draws Over 1 Million Viewers

Fight For The Fallen has proved to be another ratings success for AEW. Over 1.1 million people tuned in to watch the July 28th edition of Dynamite. The show averaged 1.108 million viewers, with the figures being obtained by Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics:

All Elite Wrestling have consistently been able to draw over 1 million viewers to Dynamite in recent weeks. Each of the Fyter Fest specials have averaged over 1 million viewers, making Fyter Fest and Fight For The Fallen 2021 some of the most watched editions of Dynamite in the show’s history. However, All Elite Wrestling have been loading the card for each Dynamite special with gimmick matches and high stakes contests. It will be interesting to see how viewership compares when regular editions of Dynamite resume.

By comparison, NXT had a poor showing in their final viewership figures. The black and gold brand pre-taped show drew less than half the viewers obtained by AEW.

Fight For The Fallen’s biggest talking point was the main event, which saw Chris Jericho face Nick Gage in a violent no rules match. This match featured a mistimed advert, with a promotion for pizza being aired shortly after a pizza cutter was used in a different way.
