WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night 1 Preview & Start Time

The Biggest Party of the Summer kicks off on August 1 with night 1 of WWE SummerSlam 2026.

Taking over the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota for the weekend, the second biggest show of the year will see a rivalry come to an end, a major return, and two of the top stars colliding over the top prize.

While Oba Femi destroyed Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, Lesnar got his win back over The Ruler at Clash in Italy. Both men are looking to bring things to an end at SummerSlam in the rubber match. However, the stakes will be raised for the third encounter, as they will fight it out inside Hell in a Cell.

In what will be his WWE debut match, SmackDown General Manager will be in action against Gunther. Gunther pushed Aldis to breaking point, leading to the British wrestler getting revenge by striking Gunther with the gold.

After winning the Queen of the Ring tournament, IYO SKY chose Liv Morgan as her champion of choice. Although Morgan won the title back at WrestleMania, this will be her first televised championship defence.

The main event is expected to be CM Punk defending his WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes. While the match seemed to be built on mutual admiration at first, there have been signs of dissension between the champion and challenger over the past few weeks.

SummerSlam is scheduled to start at 6 pm United States East Coast time. This will be 11 pm in the UK. The show will stream on the ESPN app in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
