WWE SmackDown Spoilers August 28

The August 28 edition of WWE SmackDown has been pre-taped ahead of time, meaning that spoilers are now available for the upcoming show.

Taking place after Raw went off the air in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the show is set to air this Friday. The reason for the double taping is that WWE have an extensive tour of South America next month, and wants to give the talent and crew a break before the international tour. The show focused on the fallout of the WWE Championship match last Friday, which saw Sami Zayn attack Kevin Owens, allowing CM Punk to capitalise and retain the title.

Those in attendance were able to provide spoilers to the matches that took place at the SmackDown taping. The spoilers have been obtained via Fightful.

• Kevin Owens starts cutting a promo, CM Punk interrupts, then Gunther interrupts, then Finn interrupts. KO vs Gunther vs Finn in a number one contenders match is set up.
• Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax & Lash Legend) def. Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green. Chelsea comes back after medics try taking her away.
• Gunther interrupts a meeting between Nick Aldis and Danhausen
• Jacy Jayne def. Paige
• Nikki Bella comes back to jump Paige.
• Blake Monroe did a backstage interview but is whooped by Giulia.
• Finn Balor vs. Kevin Owens vs. Gunther ends in a DQ when Sami Zayn interferes.
• Punk comes out, but Sami lays everyone out with the title.
