A massive title match and more have been announced for the September 12 edition of WWE SmackDown.
Offered another opportunity at Tiffany Stratton’s WWE Women’s Championship, Jade Cargill will challenge for the title on the show. With Cargill yet to win a singles championship since her arrival in WWE, the former Women’s Tag Team Champion will be looking for a different result on the show.
On the September 5 episode of SmackDown, Brock Lesnar made another surprise appearance as he interrupted the match between John Cena and Sami Zayn by laying out both men with an F5. Shortly afterwards, Lesnar made the challenge to face Cena at Wrestlepalooza, which has since been made official. Lesnar has been announced to be appearing live on the next episode of SmackDown.
Over the past few weeks, Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton have been at odds, with The Viper laying out The Scottish Warrior with an RKO in Dublin and an irate McIntyre still hoping to challenge Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship. Looking to settle things, and likely secure who will be next in line for a shot at the WWE Championship, McIntyre and Orton will face off on the show.
