Multiple title matches, a grudge match and more are set for the September 11 WWE SmackDown as part of the latest tour.
The first taping of the South America tour is set for the September 11 show with a live edition of the blue brand from Mexico City, Mexico. A live episode of Raw will also follow on the 14th, which will see Roman Reigns defend the World Title in the main event.
The end of the September 4 SmackDown saw CM Punk successfully defend the US Championship against Johnny Gargano. After the bell, Punk offered Sami Zayn an opportunity at the gold the following week. Punk was the one who defeated Zayn to win the championship during a Raw taping in Chicago. Incensed at how he lost the championship, Zayn has been campaigning for a rematch ever since.
After being betrayed by The Bella Twins at SummerSlam, Paige has been looking for revenge on the Hall of Famers. The British star will get her opportunity on SmackDown as she will face Nikki Bella.
Other title matches announced will see Chelsea Green defend her Women’s Championship, and multiple AAA titles will be on the line.
