WWE SmackDown Preview October 25

A face to face between Cody Rhodes and Gunther, the best of 7 series to conclude and more on WWE SmackDown.

A major face-to-face and more will take place on WWE SmackDown.

At Crown Jewel, Cody Rhodes and Gunther will face off to see who is the ultimate champion and the inaugural holder of the Crown Jewel Championship. To build to the match, both men will be live on SmackDown and will meet face-to-face.

Over the past few months, Carmelo Hayes and Andrade have been looking to prove who is the better man with multiple matches taking place. 6 matches later and the result is tied at 3-3. Looking to finally put an end to the rivalry, Melo and Andrade will face off one more time, this time with LA Knight serving as the special guest referee.

The October 18th episode of SmackDown saw the arrival of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, known collectively as the Motor City Machine Guns. With MCMG and DIY each winning triple threat matches, the two teams will face off to determine a new number one contender to The Bloodline’s Tag Team Championships.

It should also be noted that due to the roster travelling to Saudi Arabia the following week for the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, a double taping will occur at the Barclays Center, meaning the November 2nd show will be taped immediately afterwards.

  • Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes – Best of 7 series finale. LA Knight as special guest referee
  • Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) vs. DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) – The winners will become the new number one contenders
  • Cody Rhodes & Gunther face-to-face
