A title match and more are set for the July 31 edition of WWE SmackDown, which will also be the final show before SummerSlam weekend.
With SummerSlam set for August 1 and 2, the Premium Live Event will be the main focus of the show. With WWE Champion CM Punk set to put the title on the line against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, both champion and challenger will appear live. This will be Punk and Rhodes’ final confrontation before their SummerSlam match, which will likely main event night one of the show. Additionally, both Nick Aldis and Gunther will likely present their final build to their upcoming match in Minnesota.
Additionally, a title match is set to take place on the show. The War Raiders have confronted Damian Priest and R-Truth over the past few weeks, making it clear they are next in line for the Tag Team Championships. During the July 24 SmackDown, it was announced that The Raiders would get their opportunity on the SummerSlam go-home show.
At SummerSlam, a ladder match will take place to determine an Interim Women’s Champion as Rhea Ripley continues her recovery. With just one spot left in the match, Giulia will face Lash Legend for the final spot.
