WWE SmackDown Preview July 18

John Cena returns and more on the July 18 edition of WWE SmackDown.

With SummerSlam just a couple of weeks away, WWE Champion John Cena will once again appear live to address his upcoming match with Cody Rhodes at the Premium Live Event, which is likely going to be the main event of night 2. With Cena and Rhodes under one roof once again, the champion and challenger will meet to sign the contract to make the match official.

This will also be the first episode of SmackDown since Saturday Night’s Main Event, which saw a number of newsworthy events take place, including Solo Sikoa retaining the US Title over Jimmy Uso and former SmackDown star Naomi cashing in her Money in the Bank contract to win Raw’s Women’s World Championship. With the build to SummerSlam set to continue, expect to hear more from the fallout on the July 18 show.

While Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were unable to defeat The Judgment Day to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships, Flair is looking to build momentum again as she takes on one half of the champs, Raquel Rodriguez. Also at Evolution, Stephanie Vaquer became the new number one contender for the Women’s Title by being victorious in the battle royal. La Primera will be in action on the show against Alba Fyre.

With The Wyatt Sicks now reigning as the Tag Team Champions, a 4-way match has also been booked for the show to determine who will be next in line for the titles.
