WWE SmackDown Preview December 5

John Cena’s final opponent will be determined and more on the December 5 edition of WWE SmackDown.

The semi-finals of The Last Time is Now Tournament took place on the December 1 Raw, which saw Gunther defeat Solo Sikoa and LA Knight defeat Jey Uso to advance to the final. Gunther vs. Knight will take place on the show, with the winner set to face Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

Additionally, the show will continue to focus on the fallout from Survivor Series: WarGames, which saw a masked man attack CM Punk and cost his team the match, one of the members of the team being WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. While Bron Breakker is set to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on the first episode of Raw in 2026, who will be next for The American Nightmare?

Although it has not been announced at the time of writing, it is also possible that United States Champion Ilja Dragunov could put the title on the line as part of the ongoing open challenge.
