Drew McIntyre to address his attack on Cody Rhodes and more has been announced for the August 15 edition of WWE SmackDown.
Back at SummerSlam, 6 teams went to war in a TLC match over the WWE Tag Team Championships, which saw champions The Wyatts retain their titles when all was said and done. During a backstage segment on the August 8 SmackDown, DIY and The Street Profits had another disagreement that was broken up by General Manager Nick Aldis. Even though both teams were a part of the TLC match and are still battered and bruised, the former champions will face off on SmackDown in the hopes of receiving another title match down the road.
Also on the August 8 SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes confronted The Miz as Melo has been abandoned by The A Lister over the past couple of months. Following a pep talk by The Miz, the former WWE Champion stated that they would be in action in a tag team match next week.
The end of SmackDown saw Drew McIntyre launch a brutal attack on Cody Rhodes, sending the WWE Champion through the front of the announce table. McIntyre has been announced to appear live to speak about his actions on the show, which will likely set up a match between the 2 at Clash in Paris at the end of the month.
The Announced Matches For The August 15 WWE SmackDown Are As Follows:
- DIY [Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa] vs. Street Profits [Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins]
- The Miz & Carmelo Hayes vs. Fraxiom
- Drew McIntyre to address his actions against Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes
