A match with championship implications and more have been announced for the penultimate SmackDown before SummerSlam.
LWO members Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar have each won 4-Way matches to advance in the United States Championship invitational. Mysterio and Escobar will face off on SmackDown, with the winner going on to challenge Austin Theory for the United States Championship at a later date.
Also on SmackDown, Karrion Kross continues to target The OC. Following multiple matches against AJ Styles, Kross’ opponent on SmackDown will be Karl Anderson.
The line-up for the July 28th SmackDown is as follows:
- Karrion Kross vs. Karl Anderson
- Rey Mysterio vs. Santos Escobar – The winner will go on to challenge Austin Theory for the United States Championship
