The final WWE SmackDown before King and Queen of the Ring.
For the first time ever, SmackDown will air live in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Traditionally, the show would be taped ahead of time and would be broadcast the night before to give the roster ample time to travel. However, as its global expansion continues, the company have chosen to follow the same model as they have done with Lyon, France and present the go-home show in the same venue as the PLE.
The semifinals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will take place on the show. With Gunther and Lyra Valkyria both advancing to the finals, Randy Orton, Tama Tonga, Bianca Belair and Nia Jax are all looking to secure their spots in the final. It has also been announced by Triple H that the winners of each tournament will receive a World Championship match at SUmmerSlam later in the year.
Aside from the tournaments, AJ Styles will meet with Nick Aldis as The Phenomenal One has been unable to win the big matches on multiple occasions.
