A new era begins on WWE SmackDown.
As announced back in 2023, the September 13th show will be the first to air as part of the 5 year agreement with the USA Network following on from the conclusion of the relationship with Fox on September 6th. Much like the debut episode on Fox, the WWE Championship will be on the line as Cody Rhodes puts the title on the line against Solo Sikoa inside a steel cage. However, unlike the 2019 match, fans will be hoping that it lasts longer than 7 seconds.
Kevin Owens still has issues with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller and was beaten down by the former Tag Team Champions on September 6th. Looking for payback, Owens will face off against Theory and Waller in a tag team match alongside a partner to be confirmed.
Carmelo Hayes and Andrade are now 2-2 in their series. Both men will face off again on SmackDown to see who will take the lead in their series.
