The September 23rd ratings for WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage have been published. On average, 2.535 million people watched SmackDown and 522,000 people watched Rampage. The numbers have been obtained via Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics:

Compared to the previous week, both shows have seen an increase in viewers. As the September 16th SmackDown drew an average audience of 2.212 million, the increase calculates to approximately 14.6%. As reported by Thurston this is the highest overall viewership for SmackDown since Christmas 2020. SmackDown obtained a key demographic rating of 0.63, also up from the 0.50 rating from September 16th.
The September 16th episode of Rampage drew an average audience of 470,000, meaning that the increase calculates to approximately 11.1%. Rampage obtained a key demographic rating of 0.17, also up from the 0.14 rating from September 16th.
WWE continued the build to Extreme Rules by announcing a third match due to take place at the Premium Live Event. AEW concluded the Grand Slam presentation from Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, which saw the next challenger for the AEW World Championship determined.
