WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan is among the names announced for the upcoming thriller movie Ping, which focuses on the stresses of corporate life.
Deadline reports that Morgan, real name Gionna Daddio, will be a part of the project that has recently entered production. Set in Mississippi, Ping follows “an aspiring creative director who lands a remote dream job, but is forced to choose between her sanity and a boss she can never mute.”
Writer-director Richie Gordon, who worked on hit movies Iron Man 2 and The Incredibles 2, expanded on the plot. Gordon said that the project will follow the parallels of the pressure of modern work, which sees employees working harder than ever and risking burnout:
“Ping examines the promises of modern work that can push us to work harder and longer, sometimes at the expense of ourselves – it asks those of us living through burnout culture: what is enough? I was blown away by how deeply that resonated with Megan and the rest of the cast, and am incredibly fortunate to have some of the best crew in the business to bring it to life. I’m in awe of the talent behind this film and I can’t wait for the world to see it,”
The film will also star Megan Lawless, who played Sarah in the hit horror movie Obsession. Fivel Stewart (The Recruit), creator Savanah Moss and Carter Jenkins (After) are all also part of the latest cast announcement.
Liv Morgan To Add To Acting Resume With Ping
Ping will be Morgan’s third acting role in a motion picture. The WWE star starred in the 2023 film The Kill Room, and will return to the big screen when Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo hits screens in October 2026. Morgan has also made a number of cameo appearances on reality TV as herself.
Morgan won the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42 by defeating Stephanie Vaquer. Morgan earned the opportunity to challenge for the title by winning the 2026 Royal Rumble. Morgan and Natalya are the only two WWE stars who have competed in every iteration of the Women’s Royal Rumble match since it was introduced in 2018.
