WWE Announces Premium Live Event For France, Date And Location Confirmed

Multiple members of the WWE roster have been informed that their services will no longer be required in the company.

WWE has announced a Premium Live Event that will emanate from France.

Update: The ParisPLE, titled Clash in Paris, has been made official. Raw will also air live from the capital the next night.

Earlier in the month, WWE President Nick Khan spoke about the plans for the company over the next year and confirmed that they would be returning to France to host the second Premium Live Event following the success of Backlash in Lyon in 2024. As reported by WrestleVotes on social media, the show will take place in the nation’s capital of Paris and will take place on August 31st:

Sources tell us that WWE is set to announce a PLE titled ‘Clash in Paris,’ scheduled for Sunday, August 31, at Paris La Défense Arena in Paris, France. An announcement is said to be imminent and could come any day now.

The date is an interesting choice from the promotion as Premium Live Events have aired on Saturdays for the past few years. There is no update as to why the day has changed.

WWE Returning To France

Backlash 2024 was regarded as one of the best PLEs of the past year. While the Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles match was a great first title defence for The American Nightmare and Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs. The Bloodline was an entertaining brawl, the biggest talking point from the show was the phenomenal crowd. Starting out hout and keeping up the energy all night long, fans all around the world knew that a return to the European country was inevitable.
