Oba Femi picked his opponent for SummerSlam and more on the June 29 edition of WWE Raw.
Returning to the United States following a UK tour and Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, WWE began the build to SummerSlam on the show. While Queen of the Ring IYO SKY chose Liv Morgan as her champion of choice for the show, King of the Ring Oba Femi has yet to decide. Femi appeared live on the show to let the fans know what’s next.
Additionally, Joe Hendry appeared live to perform a concert.
WWE Raw Results June 29:
- Following a recap of Night of Champions, Oba Femi officially kicked off the show. Femi was interrupted by Brock Lesnar. Lesnar congratulated Femi on winning King of the Ring, while also admitting he doesn’t watch the show. Lesnar hit Femi with a low blow and an F5. Femi then got up and challenged Lesnar to a match at SummerSlam. Lesnar accepted, providing it is in Hell in a Cell. It was later confirmed that Femi will not receive a title match at SummerSlam as the Lesnar match will be his prize for winning King of the Ring.
- Rey Mysterio defeated Ethan Page.
- The Judgment Day broke into and wrecked Danhausen’s lab.
- Joe Hendry brought out The Street Profits and Seth Rollins for his latest concert. Hendry ran down Austin Theory with his latest song. Theory, Logan Paul and Bron Breaker interrupted. Theory announced that he and Breakker had a tag title rematch for next week and that he wanted to wrestle Hendry.
- Joe Hendry defeated Austin Theory.
- IYO SKY appeared live to celebrate her Queen of the Ring victory. Liv Morgan interrupted and The Judgment Day beat down SKY.
- Jimmy Uso defeated LA Knight. Knight attacked Uso after the match, leading to Jey Uso getting involved. Solo Sikoa backed up Knight.
- It was announced that Gunther and Nick Aldis had both been sent home following their altercation at Night of Champions. Aldis has been put on administrative leave and Adam Pearce will run both shows moving forward.
- Raquel Rodriguez defeated Maxxine Dupri.
- Danhausen found his lab destroyed. Liv Morgan said this would continue to happen until he made it right.
- Chad Gable defeated JD McDonagh. After the match, Dominik Mysterio opened a briefcase that Danhausen left, but the briefcase exploded. Raquel Rodriguez attacked Danhausen.
- Roman Reigns appeared live and was interrupted by Seth Rollins. After Rollins spoke about their history, and how Reigns couldn’t beat him during his title reign, it was announced that Reigns would defend the World Title against Rollins at SummerSlam.
