A tribute to AJ Styles, the final build to Elimination Chamber and more took place on the February 23 episode of WWE Raw.
After AJ Styles was forced to retire at the Royal Rumble following his loss to Gunther, Raw paid tribute to The Phenomenal One in his home state of Georgia. Additionally, Women’s Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan made her WrestleMania decision, and the final 2 spots in the Elimination Chamber were determined. Whoever is the last man and woman standing inside the Chamber will earn a World Title match at WrestleMania 42.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves were on commentary for the show.
WWE Raw Results February 23:
- Michael Cole and Corey Graves were in the ring to open the show. The duo started talking about AJ Styles, but were cut off by Gunther. After Gunther continued to gloat, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce interrupted his promo. Pearce demanded that the AJ Styles celebration would go ahead, and was flanked by security. Gunther left the ring, but was attacked by Dragon Lee. Cody Rhodes was then seen backstage and made his way out to the ring. Rhodes hyped up the AJ Styles tribute, but was cut off by The Vision.
- Jey Uso defeated “The Original” El Grande Americano and Bronson Reed to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. Reed suffered an injury in the match, which was later revealed to be a torn biceps. Reed had medical attention at ringside.
- Liv Morgan appeared live and addressed both Women’s Champions. Morgan chose Stephanie Vaquer as her WrestleMania opponent, and laid out La Preimera with an Oblivion.
- Nattie defeated Maxxine Dupri.
- Brock Lesnar appeared live alongside Paul Heyman. An open challenge was announced for anyone to face Lesnar at WrestleMania, but Heyman claimed no one would answer.
- Je’Von Evans defeated Kofi Kingston.
- CM Punk appeared live ahead of his title defence against Finn Balor at Elimination Chamber. Punk said that he is still the best in the world and promised to punch Roman Reigns in the face next week.
- Raquel Rodriguez defeated Kairi Sane and IYO SKY to advance to the Elimination Chamber.
- AJ Styles appeared live. Styles thanked some of his notable opponents and friends over the years, along with his family who were sat at ringside. Styles said that he didn’t leave his gloves in the ring as he wanted to bring them home to his family. The roster came out to pay tribute to Styles, followed by The Undertaker. The Deadman announced that Styles would be inducted into the 2026 Hall of Fame.
