The first WWE Raw since John Cena’s last match took place on December 15, with title matches and more taking place on the show.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, John Cena competed one last time, losing his final match to Gunther via submission. Following the controversial ending, which the fans in Washington were very vocal over, Gunther appeared live to celebrate one of the biggest wins of his career.
Additionally, Stephanie Vaquer defended her Women’s World Championship against Raquel Rodriguez, and Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxine Dupri put her title on the line against Ivy Nile.
Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett were on commentary for the show.
WWE Raw Results December 15:
- Following a recap of John Cena’s final match, a delighted Gunther made his way to the ring to soak in the boos from the live crowd. Gunther said he made Cena tap out “like a little bicth” and continued to antagonise the fans.
- The Usos defeated The New Day.
- IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley attempted to make their way to the ring, but were attacked by The Kabuki Warriors.
- Maxxine Dupri defeated Ivy Nile to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
- CM Punk stormed to the ring and cut a promo on Bron Breakker following what happened in WarGames. Puk was not interrupted.
- Stephanie Vaquer vs. Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s World Championship ended in a no contest when Nikki Bella attacked both competitors.
- Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attempted to provide interference, but CM Punk chased them off with a steel chair. The masked attacker then hit Mysterio with a stomp for the second week in a row, allowing Paul to gt the win. The masked man then revealed himself to be Austin Theory. Breakker hit Punk with a spear.
