WWE Raw Results August 17: Roman Reigns Addresses Bloodline Issues

Roman Reigns made his return to TV, a title match and more took place on the August 17 edition of WWE Raw.

The August 10 Raw ended with Jey Uso defeating Solo Sikoa, thanks to an assist from Jimmy Uso. Per the terms of the match, Sikoa was hand-delivered to Roman Reigns on the show. Additionally, Chad Gable put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.

With Raw set to emanate in Mexico next month, the tournament continued to determine who will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Title.

Over 11,000 fans were in attendance for the show. Michael Cole and Corey Graves were on commentary.

WWE Raw Results August 17:

• Stephanie Vaquer officially opened the show. La Primera called out Liv Morgan, who made her entrance with the rest of Judgment Day. Morgan said that she doesn’t care about the criticisms against her and reminded Vaquer that there is strength in numbers. Morgan also reminded Vaquer that she beat La Primera to win the title and that Vaquer spent months on the sidelines with an injury. Vaquer brawled with The Judgment Day until Becky Lynch made the save. The Judgment Day continued the brawl and ultimately stood tall.
• Je’Von Evans defeated JD McDonagh. Big Cass attacked Evans for the third week in a row.
• Rey Fenix defeated El Fiscal to advance in the World Title tournament.
• Sol Ruca defeated Lyra Valkyria.
• The Usos bragged to Jacob Fatu that they could do what he couldn’t: deliver Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns.
• A promo with The Vision backstage led to Bron Breakker calling out Oba Femi. The Ruler answered the call and reminded Breakker what he did to Brock Lesnar. Neither man backed down, and a match was made between the two for Sunday Night’s Main Event.
• Dragon Lee defeated El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr. to advance in the World Title tournament.
• Chad Gable defeated Rey Mysterio to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
• The Usos delivered Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns in the main event segment. Reigns berated Sikoa and the former Enforcer was hit with cheap shots until LA Knight made the save. The Usos held Knight and ordered Sikoa to attack, but Sikoa hit Reigns with the Samoan Spike instead. Knight and Sikoa beat down The Usos and Reigns. Jacob Fatu just watched on.
