A new Women’s World Champion was crowned on WWE Raw.
With Rhea Ripley being forced to vacate the title on the April 15th Raw, a battle royal took place in the main event to determine who would be the top champion on Raw for the foreseeable future.
Also on the April 15th Raw, Chad Gable turned on Sami Zayn after Gable failed to become Intercontinental Champion. Gable’s turn was addressed on the show. Speaking of the Intercontinental Championship, former champion Gunther also appeared for the first time since WrestleMania.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE Raw:
- Michael Cole and Pat McAfee opened the show in the ring and discussed the battle royal scheduled for the main event.
- Jey Uso appeared next in the ring before being interrupted by Damian Priest. JD McDonagh attempted to blindside Uso but missed with Priest being the one who was laid out.
- The Awesome Truth defeated DIY to retain the World Tag Team Championships
- Dominik Mysterio confirmed he is injured
- Gunther returned and accepted the defeat at WrestleMania before declaring himself a part of the King of the Ring tournament.
- The New Day interrupted as Xavier Woods reminded Gunther that he is the reigning King of the Ring. The New Day defeated Imprium’s Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser. After the match, Kaiser attacked Vinci
- Drew McIntyre cut a promo before being interrupted by Sheamus. McIntyre made fun of Sheamus’ weight gain
- Sheamus defeated Shinsuke Nakamura
- Chad Gable addressed his heel turn and blasted the rest of Alpha Academy for being a joke
- Ricochet and Andrade defeated JD McDonagh and Santos Escobar
- Becky Lynch won the battle royal to become the new Women’s World Champion
