WWE President Nick Khan Addresses WrestleMania 42 Ticket Prices & Concerns

WWE President Nick Khan has spoken about WrestleMania 42, the possibility of a record being broken, and ticket prices for the event.

The biggest show on the WWE calendar is set to return to Allegiant Stadium for the second consecutive year after first being announced for New Orleans. Reportedly, the reason for the change was that the promotion shattered all previous records with WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, and they didn’t believe that the record could be broken with the facilities available in the Louisiana city.

Speaking with The Sporting TribuneKhan remained confident that Mania 42 would be a success and could break the 2025 record:

“We’re feeling good,” Khan said. “Last year we set records, which we set the year prior to that. So this year we think it’s going to get close to that record, but fingers crossed…

Nick Khan Says Marketplace Sets WrestleMania 42 Ticket Price

It’s no secret that tickets for WrestleMania 42 have not been selling at the rate of previous events, or at the number that WWE would like, less than a week out from the show itself. Fans have cited multiple factors as to why this could be the case, with not wanting to return to Vegas for another year and the shows not being as compelling as 2025 being 2 factors.

However, the biggest reason for ticket sales struggling is due to the price, as many feel that the event is too expensive to go to. It has also been pointed out that the ticket prices have surged since the company was bought out by TKO in 2023, with a focus on profits and maximising revenue being more apparent than before.WWE themselves also recognised this, as Pat McAfee announced that a 25% sale would be ongoing from the April 10 SmackDown to the final Raw before Mania.

When asked about the ticket prices and the backlash, Khan stated that it was a marketplace decision:

“The marketplace dictates the ticket price.”
