WWE Possibly Plan To Bring Back Old PPV Formats

Multiple reports are suggesting that WWE are planning to bring back retired pay per view formats in the near future. The news has been reported by Twitter accounts WrestleVotes and Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men Podcast. Both sources have a reliable track record in reporting future plans for WWE:

The report states the return of various themed shows following the return to the road for WWE. These formats include Old School RAW and a viewer voted show, similar to Cyber Sunday. Also rumoured to return is the King of the Ring tournament. The historic tournament has not been held since 2018, with Baron Corbin winning the crown. Corbin then used the name King Corbin, a title he has held from winning the tournament to this day.

It should be noted that WWE are hinting a return of the tournament. WWE official Adam Pearce has talked about the tournament on The Bump. As a general rule, WWE do not talk about things they do not intend to follow up on:

Cyber Sunday and Taboo Tuesday was a WWE pay per view concept that ran from 2004 to 2008. The event saw fans vote on potential opponents or stipulations for advertised matches at the event.

Another concept that has been hinted at by Zarian is RAW Roulette. This was a concept held on RAW shows taped in Las Vegas. The theme being that stipulations were decided by the spin of a roulette wheel.
