WWE Officially Announces WrestleMania 43 For Saudi Arabia

WWE has now confirmed that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia, marking the first time that the biggest show of the year will emanate from outside of North America.

The event was made official as part of a special announcement on September 13, just a few hours before the latest episode of SmackDown went live. Triple H, a host of WWE Superstars and legends, and Turki Al-Sheikh were all in attendance for the live broadcast that was moderated by Joe Tessitore. After making the news official for 2027, which has the dates to be determined, those in attendance spoke about the news and praised the international fans in Saudi Arabia.

It was announced the previous day that WWE would be sharing big news on September 12 in Las Vegas, which many saw as a formality when it came to the historic announcement, as it was leaked ahead of time.

WWE WrestleMania 43 Is Now Official For Saudi Arabia

In what became the worst-kept secret of the week, fans were well aware of the announcement ahead of time following a series of updates that were made public earlier than intended. Beginning with the Chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority Turki Al-Sheikh announcing the news on Snapchat, an Arabic press release was revealed shortly afterwards, which was later pulled due to the premature timing.

While the show is rumoured to net WWE $100 million, the update has not been well-received by fans due to their views on the controversial relationship between the Kingdom and the pro wrestling company that began back in 2018 with The Greatest Royal Rumble. With many big events taking place in the country over the past few years, it has been very apparent that a Mania was inevitable.

Saudi Arabia will also host the 2026 Royal Rumble.
