Stephanie Vaquer Addresses Injury Reports

WWE star Stephanie Vaquer has responded to a report that she is currently dealing with an injury.

Although the former NXT Women’s and Women’s North American Champion is set to make her return to the brand on September 16 as part of the Homecoming special, it was recently reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio that she was dealing with a minor injury, casting doubt on her immediate plans.

However, while speaking with Adrian Hernandez of UnlikelyVaquer noted that she had seen the reports, but there are no injury concerns right now:

“No, I [see] social media sometimes, many things like, not real,” Vaquer said. “No injuries. I’m ready. I’m ready for RAW for next Monday. So no, no injuries.”

Also in the interview, Chilean native Vaquer also spoke about how she is making an effort to learn English since arriving in WWE:

“I need to be honest. This is so difficult for me right now…I know my English is not good, perfect yet…I think [I’ve been here] for 10 months, my English maybe is not so bad, and I really want to learn more. So I try to be brave. And if interview in English or in Spanish, I say yeah, let’s do it.”

“Every day I force myself, every day I try to understand. I try to speak pronunciation for me because I’m Chilean, yeah, so that’s the Chilean Spanish is so bad. My pronunciation in Spanish is bad. English is more difficult for me, but I think now I learn a lot, and every day is not just sometimes, not because I have class one time in the week — English class, but I try to learn every day.”

Stephanie Vaquer Not Dealing With Injury, Will She Become Champion On September 20?

Vaquer is currently the number one contender for the Women’s World Championship after winning a battle royal at Evolution back in July. Although Vaquer was orginally set to challenge Naomi for the title at Clash in Paris, the title was vacated after Naomi relinquished the gold after announcing that she was pregnant. With Raw in need of a Women’s Champion, Adam Pearce later announced that Vaquer and IYO SKY would battle it out at Wrestlepalooza on September 20, with the winner capturing the vacant title.
