The October 10th episode of WWE NXT has been loaded with main roster stars for the show that is airing the same time as AEW Dynamite.
Looking to negotiate a new media rights deal for the show and to prevent people switching over to AEW, NXT have announced that John Cena will be making his debut on the Tuesday night show. Cena will provide support to Carmelo Hayes as the former NXT Champion battles Bron Breakker, who will have Paul Heyman in his corner.
Making her return to NXT is Asuka, who still holds the record for the longest reign with the Women’s Championship. Reminding the NXT fans of the black and gold era, Asuka will be in action against fellow former champion Roxanne Perez.
Cody Rhodes will also join the multiple big names appearing live on NXT. The American Nightmare will be making an announcement on the show.
In a new update added the day before, the first 30 minutes of the show will be commercial-free.
The line-up for WWE NXT is as follows:
- Roxanne Perez vs. Asuka
- Carmelo Hayes (w/ John Cena) vs. Bron Breakker (w/ Paul Heyman)
- Cody Rhodes to make an announcement
- Butch, Ridge Holland & Tyler Bate vs. Gallus (Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey, & Wolfgang) – Pub rules match
