The July 6th 2021 episode of NXT will be a themed episode based on the pay per view The Great American Bash. This is the second time that NXT have based an episode of their show on this format. The 2020 edition ended with Keith Lee holding both the NXT World Championship and the North American Championship.
Three title matches, a singles match and a face to face confrontation have been announced for a special edition of NXT.
The following matches and segments have all been announced for WWE ahead of the show:
- Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly – Singles match.
- NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Johnny Gargano to meet face to face.
- LA Knight (c) vs. Cameron Grimes – Singles match for the Million Dollar Championship. If Cameron Grimes loses the match, he will become the butler for LA Knight.
- Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell (c) vs. Io Shirai and Zoe Stark – Tag Team match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.
- MSK (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher – Tag Team match for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
- Hit Row to hold a Championship Cypher. This follows Isiah “Swerve” Scott of Hit Row becoming the new North American Champion on last week’s episode of NXT.
