The final Premium Live Event of 2025, WWE NXT Deadline will see the return of the Iron Survivor Challenge matches, and 2 championships defended.
The Iron Survivor Challenge matches will return for a third consecutive year to crown a new number one contender to the top championships, with the participants being announced by John Cena ahead of time. The rules of the Iron Survivor Challenge match are as follows: the match lasts 25 minutes and features five wrestlers. The first two wrestlers start the match, and every five minutes, another wrestler enters, with the objective being to score the most points within the time limit. Points are earned by scoring a pinfall, submission, or being the victim of a disqualification. A wrestler who is on the losing end of the decision goes into a penalty box for 90 seconds. The wrestler with the most points when the time expires is deemed the winner, and earns a future opportunity at their respective NXT Championship.
In a rematch from No Mercy, NXT Champion Ricky Saints will put his title on the line against Oba Femi to prove that his victory was not a fluke. It has also been announced that whoever walks out as champion will face Cody Rhodes at the Saturday Night’s Main Event special on December 13, which will also be the show where John Cena competes in his final match.
Other matches on the card will see Mr. Iguana challenge Ethan Page for the North American Championship, and Tatum Paxley is out for revenge against Izzi Dame after Dame cost her the NXT Women’s Championship.
