WWE Crown Jewel 2026 will go ahead as a backup location has been secured if original plans fall through.
The Saudi Arabia show remains up in the air following recent unrest in the country, which has affected other Riyadh Season events. The Six Kings Slam tennis tournament was originally scheduled to take place October 21-24, but has now been moved to December 27-30.
Following the postponement, fans once again questioned if WWE should make the trip over for the event, which is currently scheduled for November 7. According to the latest update from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the company and those scheduled to make the trip are still under the impression that the show will move forward as planned. It is also noted that the original plan will be in place “unless someone tells them otherwise.”
The report adds that there is a backup venue in the United States secured if travel to Saudi Arabia can’t take place. The venue in place has not been stated in the report.
The matches announced for the show at the time of writing will see the top men’s and women’s champions face off to determine the 2026 Crown Jewel Champions. The current champions are World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, WWE Champion Sami Zayn, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, and WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green.
Analysis – WWE Continues With Plan A For Crown Jewel
It’s hardly a surprise that WWE seemingly have no intention of cancelling the show unless they are forced. The sheer amount of money being paid for the shows remains a factor despite the safety concerns.
As the report states, unless they are explicitly told not to go, then the show will go on. That being said, safety concerns will remain and the roster could be at risk during this time, much like they were with Night of Champions earlier in the year.
While WWE will likely fly in, do the show and fly back out immediately, WrestleMania 2027 will be over a weekend, meaning this won’t be possible.
